World Social Work Day is proudly presented by Queen's Social Work Society (QSWS) in collaboration with the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work (SSESW) as well as Another World Belfast & Solidarity Action Network: World Social Work Day 2023 - Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action! "For too long social work has been focusing on the symptoms of inequality, it's time we address the root causes." Another World Belfast "We build practical projects, events, and spaces to bring our diverse community together and provide aid for people experiencing hardship." Another World Belfast / Show Some Love's Connor Kerr & Becky Bellamy are no strangers to social justice and social work. Spearheading various campaigns in Belfast and surrounding areas directly highlighting the inequalities that surround us. Their range of expertise and experience reaches from: - Local Issues - LGBTQIA+ Campaigns - Trans rights - Gender issues - Housing Rights - Social Inequality When they're not overseeing donations, managing their free shop & swap shop, lobbying Belfast City Council or holding other 'charities' to account, Becky & Connor are passionate about outreach and sharing their experiences which is why we're so excited that we've managed to pencil them in for this special event! Its safe to say that we at QSWS / SSESW & SAN are SO excited to share this space with you!
