Trashion Exhibition 2023

Join us at the Trashion Exhibition to witness the creative work of Durham students and nationwide designers making sustainable garments. Unlike other conventional fashion shows in Durham, this Exhibition will be structured like a gallery for guests to immerse themselves in the interactive garments. With music, performances, and complimentary treats, you'll have the chance to enjoy a one-of-a-kind Trashion experience! —— Structure of an Exhibition —— Doors Open (15min before the start time of your chosen exhibition) - Models and Garments will already be stationed throughout the Hall ready to be seen Exhibition Part I (approximately 10min) - Speeches - Performance by Models Exhibition Part II (approximately 1hr5min) - Complimentary Food & Drink - Live Music Performances - ‘Designer in Action’ - attendees will be invited to bring a ripped piece of clothing or multiple pieces of fabric to the exhibition and after the performance, a designer may choose to take any given piece and try to repair it or create a new garment by the end of the exhibition - Attendees will roam around the 24 different pieces that are stationed throughout the hall in clusters
