“And it was night”: Entering the Darkness of Holy Week with the Gospels, with Rev'd Canon Prof Richard Burridge Students, staff, members of the public and visitors are warmly invited to the University of Exeter Anglican Chapels Holy Week lecture with Rev'd Canon Prof Richard Burridge. This in-person lecture will be held on Spy Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 5.30pm in Seminar Room A/B, Ground Floor, Old Library, Prince of Wales Road. The lecture will last around 1 hour and is followed by refreshments (including cheese and wine - donations welcome) and an opportunity for questions. Attendees are then warmly invited to join the Chapel Community and the University of Exeter Chapel Choir for a 7pm service of Tenebrae in the Mary Harris Memorial Chapel nextdoor. The Revd Canon Professor Richard A. Burridge is an internationally recognised biblical scholar, ethicist, theologian and social commentator. During his career, he has been a schoolmaster, parish priest, academic, and professor, served as Dean of Kings College London for over 25 years, and is a former Lazenby Chaplain of the University of Exeter.
