Teignmouth to Dawlish Warren

A 5 mile route taking in the sea wall between Teignmouth and Dawlish alongside the famous Brunel railway and finishing up at the expansive beaches of Dawlish Warren. Walk rating: Distance - 5 miles (easy), Terrain - a short steep ascent in the middle of the walk (easy difficulty), walk is along a coastal path. Public Transport: Meet at 9:10am at Exeter St Davids to catch the 9:26am train to Teignmouth. You will need to purchase a Return train ticket to Teignmouth The cost of this should amount to no more than £6. We aim to return to Exeter by 14:00 for this trip. Before the walk: Make sure to bring a packed lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, we are unable to stop en-route for food or other supplies. Remember to wear strong, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. A waterproof layer and sunscreen is also recommended, as well as an extra sweater or hat for warmth.
