Taster Session - Sunday 24th September

Welcome to the University of Exeter Rifle Club! This is a taster session for Sunday 24th of September. No matter whether you've never touched a rifle before, or are a seasoned sharpshooter, this session will give you everything you need to get started and find out if target rifle is for you! Included with your ticket is: -- Transport to and from our state-of-the-art range -- Plenty of .22 calibre ammunition for your session -- Use of club equipment and a rifle for your session -- Coaching by one of our expert committee members -- Targets (which you will get to take home at the end)! Sound good? All this costs just £6.50! All we ask is that you bring appropriate outdoor footwear and clothing, as we will be shooting on the beautiful Dartmoor national park (which can get chilly). We have the following session times available: 08:30 - 12:30 10:30 - 14:30 12:30 - 16:30 14:30 – 18:30 You only need to buy tickets to ONE of these slots. You will be collected from, and returned to, Cornwall House, just outside Lafrowda. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Please kindly note that if you are more than 5 minutes late to the time on your ticket, you may miss your session and you will not be eligible for a refund. Rifle Love, UOERC Committee. --------- Legal Bits/Good to Know: In your session you will be shooting a Section 1 firearm under the close supervision of our qualified committee and instructors. You will be given a full safety briefing by our trained Range Safety Officer (RSO) and will be able to ask questions at any time. Each shooter will get a target card, on which they will shoot two 5-round groupings, and two 10-round groupings. There will be prizes for the best shooters! You will be shooting .22 calibre ammunition, there is very little recoil and it will not hurt. You will be given all safety equipment, and a brief on how to use it, at the range. We will ask you to sign a Section 21 declaration form, indicating that you have not been imprisoned for a period of longer than 3 months. If you are unable to sign, you will not be allowed to shoot, and will not be refunded.
