Ben Prophet is our day one. As we started something special, Ben too was taking his first steps into an illustrious career. Now just over two years since his debut with us, it's time for a headline set in big old Loft. Ben has reinvented himself time and time again, refusing to be pigeon holed. Whatever happens on the 24th will be a mystery, but you just know it will be textbook Ben Prophet. Born into Ireland’s bustling party scene, BEN PROPHET has been surrounded by music from an early age. Initially focusing his production around the brassy sounds of bassline which would act as the foundations of his musical journey, before turning his hand to the darker shades of electronica. After relocating to Newcastle; one of the UK’s underground music hubs, Ben’s fine-tuned style has garnered global attention. Continued support from heavyweight artists including Mall Grab, Skream, VTSS, & HAAi has kept him firmly in the limelight, with no signs of his upward trajectory slowing down. His instantly recognisable sound merges gritty, piercing drums with mechanical sounding vocals and percussion to form a raucous blend of techno-induced beats. After a slew of hotly anticipated releases including ‘Hyper Funk EP’, ‘King of Rock’ and ‘From Dusk EP’ on HAAi’s Radical New Theory imprint, the gates to his sought after productions have opened. Off the back of this, the fan certified King of Rock’s touring schedule is taking flight, recently completing a 7 show stint in Australia with much more in the works. In the coming months further releases are set to drop, unveiling the long-awaited track IDs on everyone’s lips. When behind the booth, unhinged basslines, shapeshifting synths and skillfully layered samples are a common theme in his high-energy sets which have left ravers around the UK and further afield burning holes in the dance floor.
