Screening of the Banshees of Inisherin at the campus cinema (6:30pm)

The Banshees of Inisherin is a critically acclaimed black tragicomedy film directed by Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) following two lifelong friends Colm (Brendan Gleeson) and Pádraic (Colin Farrell) on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland in 1923 who find themselves at an impasse after Colm abruptly ends their friendship. Pádraic’s efforts to repair the friendship only strengthen Colm’s resolve, and events swiftly escalate, with alarming consequences. The film won Best Actor and Best Screenplay at the 2022 Venice International Film Festival and received eight nominations at the Golden Globes.
