Sofia Coppola’s latest film Priscilla tells the unheard story of Priscilla Beaulieu, a teenager who meets and falls for the already famous superstar Elvis Presley. The history is recounted of how their relationship flourished as Priscilla was lavished with expensive gifts and the two became enamored with each other, eventually getting married. These highs cannot last forever though, and fame is often a corrupt and isolating force to be reckoned with. A completely different side to the beloved musician, Priscilla is a tale that challenges what we think we know about Elvis Presley.
