Rough Island Band

​Coming home... ​ Fifteen years after their first gig on Scilly, Rough Island Band are back. Since then, they have made five full-length albums and performed many times on all five of the inhabited islands. Their music has been played on BBC Radio and featured in documentaries and promotional videos. They have taken Scillonian music to venues and festivals across the country and built up a loyal following of island-lovers. The last five years have been a time for the band to take stock... The pandemic, young growing families and the normal pressures of real life have kept them quiet musically but the time has now arrived to embark on the next stage of the journey towards Scillonian music. Several rehearsal and writing sessions over the last year or so have renewed a zest for the quest and the band is looking forward to performing dynamic new material, as well as some old favourites, at Easter on Scilly. Old Town Inn has always been one of their favourite island venues but now, under new management, it is better than ever with a properly-lit stage and a fantastic PA. Rough Island Band perform there on Sat 6th April at 8pm.
