Queer Memory Making

Thrive Cafe Bar

Cambridge

About

What queer memories do you hold in Cambridge? How does the city belong in your own queer history? Cambridge has a diversely aged population but we rarely come together across generations to share memories and histories of our common city. At Thrive Cafe, we want to meet each other and listen to our personal and communal histories. Thrive will function as a both a coffee spot to meet and chat with our queer people, and an art space where there will be an in-person 'queering the map' of Cambridge. People of all ages are welcomed to share & create queer pasts and imagine queer futures. We are ticketing the event to get an idea of numbers but drop-ins are very welcome! Original Queering the Map: https://www.queeringthemap.com/ *Accessibility* Unfortunately the venue has no step-free access. We will be on the first floor up one flight of stairs. Gender neutral toilets are on the first floor also. There is primarily hard seating, but there is a sofa also. There will be no hearing loop or BSL interpreter. If there is anything that would make you feel more comfortable in coming along please email [email protected] with the subject 'Queer Memory Making'.
