Private Military Contractors Debate

We are pleased to announce our second debate of the term - this time on the topic of the threat of PMCs and non state actors. PMCs refers to private military contractors, small bodies of non-governmental military personnel. With the growing presence and involvement of private military contractors and non-state actors in international events, we will consider whether international restrictions should be introduced to help regulate these bodies. We also will consider who is responsible for the acts of these groups and how states can be held accountable for these aswell. Join us on Tuesday 14th May in the Matrix lecture theatre to debate this vitally important topic.
