PAINT AND SIP!

Join student-led Existence Theatre Group in collaboration with Leeds University Union Art Society at Cardigan Community Centre on Wednesday 8th March from 7-9:30pm! Please arrive promptly!! As a theatre company, we are putting on our performance 'The Dash' from the 29th-31st March in Stage@Leeds. The performance follows an obituarist who receives a mysterious unsigned and unpublished painting that holds a remarkable resemblance to her younger self. As research unfolds, memories help to build an exhibition of a life lived against the status quo. 'The Dash' represents the separation between the year you’re born from the year you die - “would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?” In order to spread awareness and promote our show within the community, we wanted to put on a full-filled, art-themed event - 'Paint and Sip'. The evening will consist of a painting tutorial run by LUU Arts Society - they will be creating this themselves for us to replicate. We will then have free time accompanied by some live music for everyone to paint any artwork they like, based on some of the themes of our show. The event is FREE however we will be selecting some of our favourite artwork to be displayed within the set of our professional performance - you are welcome to take home your creations after our show at the end of March.
