Calling all fans of alternative rock! The Bitter End and Cry on Command proudly present: PAINT IT BLACK Join both bands at the Angel on Friday 14th June for a high-energy night of grunge, goth and emo bangers, with each band performing an hour long set as co-headliners. DOORS 20:00 Tickets are £3 for general admission and £2 for RockSoc members. RockSoc members will receive a discount code via email. Starting at 20:30, Durham's grungiest band by far, Cry on Command, will waste no time in waiting to raise the roof of the Angel higher than ever before. With their fiery performances of grunge classics, they are sure to set the room alight, featuring covers from bands such as Nirvana, Hole and Alice in Chains. Following their impressive performance at the Little Buildings (Newcastle) Goth night, the band also promise to sprinkle in a number of gothic tunes, making them truly impossible to miss. At 21:45, Durham's resident emo jukebox, The Bitter End will take over from their co-headliners. With their victory of the RockSoc Battle of the Bands earlier this year, they will undoubtedly continue to keep the energy of the night high, launching into a set packed full with emo anthems, featuring covers from artists such as Fall Out Boy, Pierce the Veil and My Chemical Romance. Make sure not to miss them, as this will be one of their final performances as a band within the Durham music scene!
