If you squint your eyes and wander about the city’s streets, you may be fooled that this is the 70s again. Rising tension amongst the population, striking workers and a Government that seem distant, out of touch and completely incompetent. The 70s did however bring some of the most iconic artists to the forefront. Glam Rock swept across the country like Freddie Mercury doing ballet for the NME. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple put the hard graft in so Mötely Crüe could ruin rock music in the 80s. Punk, Funk, Disco & Synthwave all made there first baby steps onto the scene an’ all. With yet another show, Northern Parasol aims to showcase the musical explosion of these troubled times as best we can. Our headliners for this one are one of the best examples. Brother are coming to Manchester to play their first show with us, bringing their blues rock grooves that would make Tony Iommi exclaim ‘Holy Moly! They make Sabbath look like baloney!” He wouldn’t be wrong, Brother are not to be missed. Joining them are two of the finest, eclectic bands on the Manchester scene going right now. They are The Senate and Oddo’s Gaze. Both completing this line-up with the extravagance it deserves. It’s Off The Square, it’s off the charts and it’s of the moment. And it’s probably cheaper than Tommy Lee’s OnlyFans. After two years, we've had 54 artists play across five iconic Manchester venues, we can't wait to continue into 2024!
