About

Night People invites dancers/groovers to the dancefloor, providing an electric movement workshop that feeds the soul with bass, physicality and cheeky club energy. Workshop content will cover the company's training model in improvisation, playful devising and current repertoire, providing space for people to collaborate, make connections and explore alternative approaches to movement creation. All things community, catwalk and carnage, join us for a workshop that beckons the inner diva within us all. Night People is a cross-art collaboration company, fusing worlds of dance theatre, audio- visual performance and electronic music. We create performance installations, curated events and physical/digital platforms, providing welcoming, safe spaces for immersive connection. Our work explores how movement, narrative & a vibrant use of technology can dramatically transform spaces, capturing a wide audience by using alternative, social spaces that bring art into the heart of the community. We are committed to platforming narratives/events/creative experiences that support the empowerment & safety of queer/femme communities within club/electronic music culture. The company are currently seeking dancers for their upcoming project, looking to connect with performers interested in working in alternative venues through dance theatre/immersive art/electronic music. Creation Period commencing this Autumn, with the company keen to meet dancers/movers excited by club culture and working with cross-art collabs. Suitable for people aged 16+
