Newton Poppleford to Sidmouth

Take a breather from the revision and coursework with us on our second walk of the term. This will be an 11-mile walk from Newton Poppleford to Sidmouth. Length and rating: 11 miles (mdoderate), terrain - a largely flat walk with an inclince at the end (mild) Public Transport: Meet at 8:35 am at Exeter Bus Station to catch the 8:50 Bus (no. 9) to Newton Poppleford. We will be getting the bus back from Sidmouth. You will need to purchase a single ticket on the bus. We aim to return to Exeter by 18:30. Before the walk: Make sure to bring a packed lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, we are unable to stop en-route for food or other supplies. Remember to wear strong, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. A waterproof layer and sunscreen is also recommended, as well as an extra sweater or hat for warmth.
