A showcase of two original short productions; written, produced and led by students
Sasuri: Written by Bayan Ramdani
Bianca is on the brink. Soon she might finally get the job she has dreamed about for years, the one she worked so hard to get. She's terrified. A part of her is screaming for an out but she's stuck. How could she abandon everything she's worked for? David doesn't know either, but he'd rather step into the unknown than live like she does.
Sunday lunch: Written by Tabitha Minson & Tomos Rhydderch
Pivoting around the perspective of an adult middle child, the piece is a comedic view of family dynamics over the course of a lunchtime. It explores growing up in different directions to your siblings, and the complexity of being friends with your family, even as your lives stop running in parallel. Sunday Lunch also grapples with parent-child relationships and responsibilities, always tinged with humour, because real life is funny, even if it’s sad.
