Modern Slavery Debate

We are pleased to announce our final debate of the term- this time on the incredibly important topic of modern slavery. An issue that can sometimes be misunderstood, there are still millions of people around the world suffering at the hands of slavery. They have no autonomy over their lives and are constantly exploited in the most deplorable of conditions. This is also not an issue for any one region, all over the world in both developed and developing nations, forms of modern slavery exist. We will be debating how to best clamp down on this heinous practice once and for all and how to best support victims. The debate will be on Tuesday 26th March in Matrix Lecture Theatre from 6.30-9pm.
