LUU MT Presents "Into the Woods" FRIDAY

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, 'Into the Woods' is an epic musical adventure that holds the wickedly wonderful Grimm Brothers fairy tales at its core. Following the beloved stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, this musical allows the audience to get lost within the lives of those who venture into the woods and the chaos that ensues. The traditional stories are tied together with an original one: meet the baker and his wife who's only wish is to build a family, which they soon challenging when they learn of the curse that a witch has placed on their lives, into the woods' invites audiences to witness the magic and comedy of the characters and their situations that are illustrated beautifully through intimate moments in the woods overlapping stories and cleverly crafted subplots.
