About

The Ant Law Trio is a contemporary jazz trio, composed of Ant Law (guitar & composition), Conor Chaplin (bass) and Dave Hamblett (drums). Described by the Guardian as a “game changer” and having grown up in Saudi Arabia, Law was exposed to Arabic music, as well as early blues and rock ‘n’ roll. He became drawn to jazz at university, and has since released a successful discography of music, toured internationally, and performed with names such as Cory Henry. Conor Chaplin studied at the Trinity College of Music, Greenwich, and is part of several contemporary jazz projects, including the Mercy Prize-nominated group Dinosaur. Dave Hamblett is a London-based drummer, musical educator and photographer who studied at the Royal Academy of Music and is involved in a number of projects including Snowpoet and Seafarers. Chaplin and Hamblett have both toured extensively and performed with diverse artists including Kit Downes and Jacob Collier (Chaplin) and Kenny Wheeler and George Garzone (Hamblett).
