About

We are delighted to be hosting the Labour MP for Exeter and former Secretary of State, Sir Ben Bradshaw, for a talk and Q&A on 20th October. Ben was elected as the Labour MP for Exeter in 1997 and has won every subsequent election since. Between 2001 and 2010, Ben served as a Minister in a number of departments including Health, the Foreign Office, Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and, from 2009 to 2010, as Secretary of State in the Cabinet for Culture, Media and Sport. More recently, Ben has served as a member of the Commons Health Select Committee and is currently a member of the Commons Transport Committee. As Ben prepares to retire from politics, please join us for this talk from one of the Labour Party's greatest politicians, as he shares with us his many anecdotes from his extraordinary career and life. Please ensure you have bought Labour Society membership prior to attending the event. This is available for £3 for the term or £5 for the year: https://my.exeterguild.com/groups/XVD9F/labour-society/memberships
