Global Soul Showcase GeeJay Sahra Victoria Port Nellie Charles Tallia Storm Hari GeeJay Gee (vocalist and songwriter) and Jay (producer and multi instrumentalist) met in Harringay London when the pair were working as baristas in a music café. They quickly went from jamming on the café’s old piano to crafting their own distinctive style of music. Gee's strong, soulful and emotionally-charged vocals fit perfectly on top of Jay’s vintage jazzy chords and groovy rhythms, whilst the saxophone adds a further element to the melodic mix. With two EP releases under their belt, GeeJay have managed to amass over 12 million streams and have garnered widespread critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, Fearne Cotton (BBC Radio 2), BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Jack Saunders, and CLASH to name but a few. After the birth of their child in July 2023, the pair took to the studio to finsh their debut album 'What's the Sun Without the Rain?', with its eagerly anticipated release date of May 28th 2024. The lead single from the project 'Stronger Than You Think' has already sparked the attention of Trevor Nelson (BBC Radio 2) who made it his track of the week, Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1 Future Artists) and Robert Elms (BBC Radio London). SAHRA The roaring success of SAHRA’s newest singles, both ‘Alone Again’ and ‘Risk It All’, have garnered the support of tastemakers Gilles Peterson, Jess Iszatt (BBC R1 Introducing), Victoria Jane (BBC R1) Sara Cox (Radio 2), Tony Minvielle and China Moses (Jazz FM). Having performed the single for live sessions at BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends with Clive Anderson and international influencer Gilles Peterson’s Basement sessions on Worldwide FM, ‘Alone Again’ was also championed by Peterson on heavy rotation on his BBC 6Music show plus an interview feature on Jazz FM with Tony Minvielle. Amassing 100k+ Spotify streams, placements on editorial playlists ‘Fresh Finds’, ‘Untitled’ and 'Mellow Morning' also achieved 14k streams on YouTube to date. Receiving coverage on seminal online platforms sleepingongems, COLORS, Bandcamp Weekly, Somewhere Soul and Luna Collective plus reviews in CLASH, Stereofox & IGGY Magazine (FR). SAHRA is a Berlin-born, London-based, singer/song-writer and arranger accumulating a range of enviable career highlights. Having been invited to perform at We Out Here, The Arts Club, BBC Introducing Festival, Madame Jazz, Future Bubblers, London Jazz Festival, House of KOKO to name a few. In 2023, SAHRA was selected as a Take Five talent development participant and recently performed new music at her headline show at Jazz re:freshed last November. SAHRA is currently working on a new body of work set for release in 2025. Victoria Port Miss Olive’s Daughter is the new solo project from Singer/songwriter Victoria Port. After 3 albums with electronic duo Anushka (Brownswood, Tru Thoughts, BBE) ,Victoria is finally making the move to showcase her music, her way. With her last project having had extensive support from taste makers Giles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Hugh Stephens and Annie Mac. She’s also been a regular on the U.K. and international festival scenes. This EP is sure to place her firmly where she belongs - in the eclectic U.K. rnb/soul scene. This project is inspired by the legacy of her Dominican Grandmother, the stories of all the powerful women she has known and is yet to know, vulnerability and truth. Nellie Charles “Nellie Charles’ foray into music is a compelling tale of dedication, innate talent, and an unwavering spirit. Growing up in a home where the air vibrated with the timeless melodies of Etta James, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and Ella Fitzgerald, Nellie's early life was steeped in musical excellence.
