BEN PROPHET // Firm favourite amongst the Durham ranks the irish born party starter returns for another instalment. Born into Ireland’s bustling party scene, Ben Prophet has been surrounded by music from an early age. His introduction to the rave world began with a regular slot for Reprezent Radio focused on discovering new talent, before more recently turning his hand to the darker shades of electronic music. After relocating to Newcastle to pursue a career in music, his new-found style has quickly burst into the limelight, following a string of support from heavyweight artists including HAAi, VTSS and Mall Grab. His instantly recognisable sound merges gritty, piercing drums with mechanical sounding vocals and percussion to form a raucous blend of techno-induced beats. His high-energy sets are laced with unhinged basslines, shapeshifting synths and skillfully layered samples which will leave your feet burning holes in the dance floor.
