--TIMINGS FOR MR. ROEPERS TALK HAVE BEEN CHANGED--- The first speaker will be Mr Roepers, who will give a talk at 11:00am. One of the best known value investors, Mr Roepers is the Founder and CIO of New York-based Atlantic Investment Management. Atlantic, which has $1.2 billion in assets under management and 26 team members, is a highly disciplined value investor in mid-cap public equities globally, deploying constructive shareholder activism. Since inception in October 1992, its flagship fund has achieved a net compounded annual return of 16%, which is a cumulative return of over 4,200% (versus the S&P 500’s return of 945% over the same period). He will give a talk about his background, how he went from growing up and going to college in The Netherlands, to graduating with a MBA at Harvard Business School, to setting up his own hedge fund firm, now thirty years ago. He will also discuss his investment approach, current equity market dynamics and key investment positions. Mr. Roepers is looking forward to answering students’ questions Mr. Michael Wilson will speak at 4 pm. Mr. Wilson has given multiple talks for the GIG in the past. After working at State Street in London Mr. Wilson now works as a senior advisor to Fintechs, such as B2B ETF that are backed by State Street, JP Morgan and many more. Over the course of his career in finance he has worked and lived and London and Tokyo. Mr. Wilson is looking to host an interactive discussion which will enable students to ask questions throughout the talk. Cairngorm Capital, a London based Private Equity will be finishing the day off. Two employees are giving a presentation about how to get into Private Equity, what Cairngorm Capital does and how live in the City of London is really like. After the Cairngorm Capital presentation, there will be an informal drinks reception to give everyone the chance to mingle and speak to our speakers in a more informal environment. All talks will be hosted in the Swilcan Suite in the Hotel du Vin and will be followed by Q&A sessions.
