LIFT UP: LIFT OFF

One small two-step for man… After two sell-out events last year, Lift Up is ready for blast off this October with a night packed with breakbeats, bass and Big Bang-ing tunes. Sinai Soundsystem will be touching down in Fez once again to break the sound barrier with out of this world volume, and vibrations to rattle your insides like a launching rocket. Prepare for a stellar roster of DJ talent on the flight-deck, including Reggae Roast’s Adam Prescott, Sinai Sound, Muzzy, Amis, LDot and of course the Lift Up Residents, who’ll be taking you on a journey through time and bass, bringing dub, jungle, garage, footwork, breaks and more good vibrations - expect bass powerful enough to send you into a blac(k) hole. A portion of proceeds go to Médecins Sans Frontières, who provide medical aid where it is most needed across the world. THE MUSIC ----- Adam Prescott (Reggae Roast Soundsystem / Ariwa / Zam Zam / Lion Charge / Moonshine / Liondub) As an integral part of the Reggae Roast Soundsystem team, Adam has established himself as one of the finest selectors in the world, and a key player in the re-emergence of British Reggae. He has produced first class original songs featuring the likes of Cornel Campbell, Macka B and Earl 16 to name but a few, whilst retaining hugely popularity for his memorable remixes for artists such as Horace Andy, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, & Radikal Guru. Combine that with frequent play on BBC Radio One, Rinse FM and 1Xtra’s ‘Best Of British’, Adam has become one of the hottest prospects in the revival of soundsystem music. Sinai Sound System Not only are the Sheffield-based crew providing their world renowned system, guaranteed to shake Fez to its core - the team will also be playing their own exclusive dubs and remixes just as they want you to hear them - on their very own custom-built rig. Amis Having recently supplied bass, dubstep and grime for veteran underground radio station Sub FM, Amis switches up the style to bring some high tempo and high energy sounds to the dancefloor. Expect jungle, footwork, original productions and a few surprises. Muzzy Bringing sharp mixes, heavyweight pressure and a breeze of euphoria - Muzzy is sure to bombard Fez with his pukka selection of breaks, garage and more. LDot LDot’s presence has been felt all over the UK recently, having blessed cities such as Sheffield, Newcastle and Manchester with his talent behind the decks over the past year. Boasting a residency on Underground Kollectiv radio as well as winning 1Key DJ competition, LDot will return to Lift Up to exhibit of the darker side of UK breaks. THE SOUND ----- Debuted to critical acclaim in March 2014, Sinai Sound System is a Sheffield based sound system, championing the fusion of traditional sound system values, and modern technological advancements. Over the years it has gone from strength to strength, pushing the boundaries of what a modern sound system can be. It was the first dub system to appear on the prestigious “Boiler Room”, providing the sound for Deep Medi in Nov 2015 and since then, the demand for the system and their DJs have skyrocketed. Their list of appearances is endless, and includes slots at Outlook Festival, Dimensions Festival, Boomtown Festival, Tectonic Records, Bristol Dub Club, amongst many others.
