Join our Head Gardener, Julie, and nimble crafter, Lucy, at this interactive, practical workshop learning all about the wonderful, versatile Willow.
-Learn how to harvest, propogate and maintain it and have a go at harvesting yourself;
-Learn simple weaving techniques and learn to make a small woven tray or living willow garden structure;
-Cake, tea and coffee included. A small DIY cafe will be serving a simple lunch option, tea and cakes.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING
Wear warm outdoor clothes and bring robust gloves. All other equipment will be provided.
WILLOW DAY & IMBOLC CELEBRATIONS
This workshop is part of our Willow Day.
In the afternoon we will be holding a bigger family event celebrating Imbolc, with children enjoying various spring and willow related activities.
At 5pm we encourage everyone to come join us at Ide Community Orchard for their Wassail Event.
TICKETS
This is an adult event. We have just 15 tickets available.
We offer a variety of rates to keep our events accessible. Please do pay the higher rate if you can afford to as this will enable us to continue to offer the lower rates. There are limited amount of each ticket.
