Fresh off their Edinburgh Fringe runs, catch both Pete Mitchelson’s “Andre’s Guide to Women” (Best Spoken Word Award, Morecambe Bay Fringe Festival) and Joan Cooper Snark’s “The Gemini”( ★ ★ ★ ★ ★, Edinburgh Reviews) as a two-for-one double bill exploring sex, women and dating from two very different perspectives.
To top (or bottom) it all off, these productions will be staged in Birkenhead’s own “Scandals”, an adult store that will be open for business before and after the shows. Experience sexually-charged fringe theatre in a setting like no other for a once in a lifetime viewing experience.
THE GEMINI:
The next “Fleabag”, probably. A woman's alter-ego narrates and performs poems about her break-up and subsequent life as a top shagger attempting polyamory. Neurodiverse, filthy and funny, “The Gemini” should resonate with anyone who’s ever felt lonely and horny. A work in progress.
ANDRE’S GUIDE TO WOMEN
After finding out how much money right-wing grifters like Andrew Tate and Russel Brand are making from angry teenage boys, Andre has found his calling. Men's empowerment. Andre has spotted a gap in the market. He wants to prove you can be woke *and* have sex with piles of women. After a spiritual quest to fix the orgasm gap singlehandedly, Andre is drained. Physically drained, emotionally drained and sexually drained. In Andre's Guide to Women, he recruits men to help with his sexual odyssey. In exchange, he will teach them how to be better lovers.
