4 OUTSTANDING MUSIC ACTS  EyiTemi - http://eyitemi2.bandzoogle.com/ British-Nigerian singer-songwriter and two times innovation panel judge on BBC Jazz Awards, EyiTemi, headlines The Poetry Cabaret in a special performance backed by her 5-piece band and young contemporary dancer, Anouska Lukac. Her sound stretches past generic Soul, weaving in a diverse range of music influences from Jazz, Afro, Spoken Word, Gospel to Folk and laid-back funk.  Lulu May - @luluverbeek is a jazz-influenced vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose eclectic repertoire spans generations, genres and languages. Known for her contemporary interpretations of classic and modern songs, she blends vintage charm with fresh musicality, creating performances that are elegant, understated and spellbinding. Ellen and Sam began working together in 2022, after becoming close friends at school, with their first collaboration ‘We Never Even Dated’. With Ellen’s songwriting and Sam’s production, they have developed a unique sound together drawing inspiration from artists such as Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballernini mixing the classic country sound of banjos and slide guitars with a modern British feel. Verity Holloway is a local singer-songwriter, influenced by folk, her vulnerable lyrics tell stories paired with haunting yet hopeful musical arrangements. Verity's passion for writing songs was sparked by listening to artists such as Joni Mitchell and Nina Simone, though both have different styles, both sing with intention and there is great emotion behind their music. Verity looks forward to sharing songs from her upcoming album. 10 CHERRY PICKED LOCAL POETS WITH A PANACHE FOR PERFORMANCE  Dilly Orme writes and performs clear-cut, contemporary, playful, unifying poetry. Primarily, she earns her living as an Interiors Editor contributing regularly to many a magazine with’ home or house' in the title. She has performed and studied poetry widely and has had several pieces published. At present she is studying advanced poetry at CityLit and is completing her first collection, ‘In Good Time’. Eddie Chauncy lives in Guildford, Surrey, and has written poetry since childhood. He prefers not to publish much, relying on getting together with other poets to share ideas, or reading at the occasional open mic. Having developed through a range of styles, both formal and casual, he has come to feel that a poet's impact depends on three things: a deep trust between speaker and listener; respect for language itself; and an intense motivation to understand, and express empathically, even difficult points of view. He loves writing, songwriting, photography, and meditation. He's also a therapist, and his work with clients is a constant source of inspiration, and a reminder that no two people think or feel the same about anything. Del Bowen is originally from the Swansea Valley but swapped the green mountains, rivers and waterfalls of her homeland for England many moons ago. Why, she still doesn’t quite know! But don’t let the accent fool you - she’s lived in England longer than she lived in Wales but still yearns for the quieter life… and a dog! Del writes quickly, from the heart and without filter. She takes inspiration from her childhood, family, the landscape, Welsh mythology and most of all, from people-watching in pubs with a glass of wine. Del is a former newspaper reporter and sports journalist and has worked in communications for 20 years for a whole host of global - from governments to FTSE100 companies - advising them on what to say… and what not to say. Let’s hope her tips and tricks pay off when she’s under the spotlight, herself! And she’s sorry if she swears a bit - but swears it’s only what she’s reporting what she heard in the pub! Philip Porter AKA The Utopian Fool is a poet, writer and imaginative provocateur whose work explores the strange, beautiful and often contradictory experience of being human. Through poetry, he invites audiences to pause, question the world around them and consider the possibilities that exist beyond the obvious. His writing moves between the deeply personal and the universal, exploring love, identity, existence, imagination and our relationship with the world we inhabit. Thoughtful without taking itself too seriously, his work balances vulnerability and curiosity with wit, playfulness and a distinctly philosophical edge. Sam Ball is of little consequence and should be considered a vehicle for The Author, a malcontent whose ramblings can be found at https://theauthorsbin.co.uk. The Author is clearly influenced by (but would not credit the influence of) Lewis Carroll, Spike Milligan, Homer (not Simpson), Edward Lear, Robert Browning, and anyone with an interesting rhyme scheme or pretensions to humour. Sarah Boyd changed tack, after a career as a magazine journalist swapping 1000-word articles for poems. She has just completed an MA in Writing Poetry and her poems have been published in specialist poetry magazines, anthologies and websites. In 2025 she came second in the Arts Richmond Poetry Competition judged by Roger McGough. You’ll usually find her in a cafe drinking in inspiration for more poems. Ian Lee-Dolphin is a songwriter, poet, singer, guitarist and founder member of the bands Take Five, French Lessons and Different People. Ian has been writing songs and poems since the mid 1960s and played one of his first gigs at the Marquee in Wardour Street, London in 1971. In recent years, Ian has performed and MC’d at many local venues including The Adelaide, Hampton Hill Theatre, Twickenham Exchange, The Mary Wallace Theatre, The Corner House, Barnes Theatre and The Rose Theatre. He currently fronts a band called Different People playing classic jazz, pop, soul, blues, folk, rock and country music. Heather Moulson is a co-founder of Poetry Performance in Teddington formed in 2017. Since then, she has performed extensively in London, Surrey and Morecambe and Nottingham Poetry Festivals. She was a winner of the Brian Dempsey Memorial Award 2019 and has been long listed for the Roger McGough poetry competition and Dempsey & Windle’s Summer competition. Heather is also a third of the Booming Lovelies who have performed at the Guildford fringe, St Albans, Camden Women Writers Festival and The Spice of Life in Soho. Heather’s pamphlets are Bunty, I Miss You and Slummy Mummy. She is currently working on a collection of Blokes. Heather also enjoys sketching, especially her grumpy black cat, and is the author of Conversations with Dobby. Tickets are £25 in advance (£29 OTD) and can be purchased by clicking the ‘Get Tickets’ button or you can Call, Text, WhatsApp the Box Office on 07770 636303 to guarantee your place. This is going to be an amazing evening of poetry and live music fully supporting the work the Off The Record Twickenham provide. Don’t miss out… KEEPING IT LIVE!
