The Hero’s Journey — An Evening of Leadership, Culture, and Contribution
Stockport’s business leaders, community allies, and change-makers are invited to gather for an intentional evening focused on responsibility, permanence, and the future of our town.
The Hero’s Journey marks the launch of Culture Lab — a new, permanent space being created by Drywave to support young people in Stockport to develop purpose, leadership, and contribution through lived-experience, peer-led programmes.
What to Expect on the Evening
Hosted at the Masonic Hall, Stockport, the evening will unfold as a guided experience designed to be felt, not just observed.
Guests will:
• Attend an immersive Hero’s Journey environment, designed by Visual Architects
• Enjoy a three-course seated meal, with a curated drinks offering including crafted alcohol-free cocktails
• Experience live cultural performance woven throughout the evening
• Take part in the Auction of Allies, an invitation to become part of the permanent build of Culture Lab
Through the Auction of Allies, organisations and individuals may choose to claim a stone, wall, or room — with founding allies receiving permanent naming recognition as part of the Culture Lab space.
Why This Matters
Safe spaces for young people are disappearing. Culture Lab is a response rooted in permanence — creating a physical home where young people can move from instability into leadership, responsibility, and contribution.
Our goal for the evening is to raise £90,000 to bring Culture Lab fully into fruition and secure long-term impact for young people in Stockport.
