Lecture – Russia: Behavioural Patterns in Crisis and Stress. Perspective of a Historical Journalist by Vladimir Raevsky

Amersi Room, Brasenose College, Oxford

About

Using five critical situations as examples — a full-scale dynastic deadlock, a plague epidemic, the surrender of Moscow to Napoleon, and the two world wars — historical journalist Vladimir Raevsky aims to identify the behavioural patterns of the Russian state and society in existential conditions. Today’s Russia stands every chance of finding itself in a similar state once again.
