Calling all Glasgow guitar players! Want to try out new pedals but need to make space well we maybe have just the thing: A Guitar Pedal Swap! Taking note from El Diablo over in Minneapolis in the US, we thought this would be a fun way to swap out some of your older gear while simultaneously trying new stuff, meet some like-minded players and most of all have some FUN! Rules/how it works: • Register via Fixr • Bring AT LEAST ONE pedal (minimum trade value £50), no cheap mini effects, multi-fx, Joyo/Behringer – those are all fun but there’s a time and a place for them! MAX 3 pedals per person • Lay out your pedals on the table provided and most of all… • HAVE FUN! Tips and Tricks: 1. TEST your pedal at home BEFORE coming to the swap No gear gremlins, please! If the pedal has been sitting for a while, test it. Even if it worked last week, TEST it again! 2. Take a moment to CLEAN your pedals and find the original boxes if you have them. 3. Price tags are handy and help speed up trades. Check Reverb or eBay, get a sense of what your pedal is worth and write it down somewhere! 4. We STRONGLY recommend using PayPal (rather than actual cash) when purchasing as an added layer of protection and peace of mind. 5. If your pedal requires 12V/18V power, mark it clearly on the pedal and bring the dedicated power supply. We’ll have power supplies on hand as well. 6. Tell all your friends! The more the merrier! We will have a small set-up for you to try out any pedals you aren’t sure about but bear in mind that space and time are a premium!
