“Smash Hits – Back to the 80s!” with Betty & the Rabbits and Extreme Ways The 1980’s were the most diverse and extravagant decade in recent cultural history and arguably the greatest era of music of all time. It was a time of big hair, big shoulder pads and big personalities… If you grew up in this period, you know what a fabulous time it was to be alive. Whether you were wearing spandex, leg warmers, lace, donkey jackets, winkle pickers, ruffled shirts, ra ra skirts, or sporting a mullet haircut with leather trousers, there was a musical style for everyone… And whatever you think of the fashion, you cannot deny that the 80s fuelled some absolute bangers. ‘Smash Hits - Back to the 80’s’ is brought to you by two talented local bands who are on a mission to bring you the best of the decade whilst covering the variety of genres from that period. ‘Extreme Ways’ are an exciting electronica pop trio performing the best of upbeat synth-based covers– Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Gary Newman, Talk Talk, Eurythmics, Soft Cell and more. Dynamic vocals, driving drumbeats and perfectly recreated keyboard melodies you can’t help but dance to. “OMG! Probably the best trio I have ever booked. Their intention is to bring to life the music they grew up with, and to recreate the songs every 80s fan would want to hear in a way that is faithful to the originals.
