Reclaim the Night is a powerful nationwide event that brings women and communities together to stand against violence towards women and girls. The Women’s Centre Cornwall has held Reclaim The Night events in Cornwall for over 20 years, creating space for remembrance, solidarity and change – and this year it’s coming to Falmouth.

The vigil will include poetry, music from women and a name reading ceremony, honouring the women and children who have lost their lives to male violence this year. Men are invited to stand with us in solidarity. We will then gather for a march through Falmouth to demand a world where women and girls can live freely, safely and without fear. The march is women-only, for those who have experienced misogyny.
Reclaim the Night is about reclaiming our voices and standing together against blame, shame and silence. We will not be held responsible for the actions of perpetrators. We deserve safety, freedom and respect - and together, we will continue to demand change.
Join at 6pm at The Cornish Bank, Falmouth, for the first part of the event, we will then march, and the event will conclude at The Moor Piazza, Falmouth. Bring your banners, your drums, and your voices!
The time spent in the venue will be standing, with a few seats available for those who need to sit. Please contact The Women’s Centre Cornwall to let us know if we can do anything to make this event more accessible for you.
