QUAC Beginners Course 2026

Welcome to QUAC! To begin your archery journey we offer a 5 week course for people who have tried have-a-go sessions all the way to complete beginners. The course will consist of health and safety surrounding the range and the bow along with training and showcasing from multiple bow forms such as Barebow, Compound, and the as-seen-on-TV Olympic Recurve. You will be trained up and given a certificate to prove your eligibility to train further in the sport. We will finish off on the 6th week with a Beginner friendly tournament with prizes for those who do well. We train from 6-8 pm Monday and 4-6pm Friday. Once your beginners course is complete you can come to anyone of our session times. Starting on Monday 5th October and Friday 9th October. Please note there will be a break on the 26th and 30th October due to university closures. After this your purchase includes a membership with our club for this academic year along with an AGB membership which includes insurance for those who wish to keep going beyond beginner and learn to compete for our club possible even on a national stage. Please note AGB membership/ insurance is only included for students, non-students will need to purchase their own. This membership includes equipment. Also PEC membership is not included with this membership. You are responsible for getting your own or paying into the PEC (People in Queen's Accommodation may have this for free).
