Professor Nicole Pohl, 'Bluestockings Now': Feminist Consciousness in the Eighteenth Century and Now

Join us for a historic night of intellectual enlightenment. Bluestocking and Oxford Feminist Society will be reviving the tradition of the female-led literary salon at Christ Church, a college which only admitted women in the 80s and has a prolific history of churning out male prime ministers. Both the conversation and the refreshments will be sparkling, with the chance to experience performances of early feminist poetry, participate in informal literary discussion, and be part of the establishment of a new wave of female luminaries.
