Set within the beautiful Belvoir Estate, guests will enjoy five flat races over six furlongs, featuring amateur jockeys riding hunting horses, sport horses, and thoroughbreds, alongside a vibrant social atmosphere and entertainment throughout the day. Why "Paint The Town Red"? The event takes its name from one of Croxton Park's most infamous stories. Following a race meeting in 1837, a group of revellers reportedly daubed buildings and doors with red paint after being refused entry to Melton Mowbray—an incident widely linked to the origins of the now-famous phrase "Paint The Town Red." We will be celebrating that colourful piece of history by bringing people together for a day of racing, entertainment, and countryside camaraderie.
