Oldmeldrum Highland Games

Oldmeldrum Sports & Highland Games take place on Saturday 20th June 2026. We have all the traditional Highland Games events, Heavy events including hammer throwing and tossing the Caber British Championship. There are massed pipe bands at 1.20pm, 3pm and 5pm and individual performances throughout the afternoon. The Drum Majors also compete in the Mace O'er the Banner. There is Highland Dancing in the main arena. There are also athletes taking part in the light events and the Meldrum 5 Miler. In the Marquee there will be wrestling, magician and photographic heritage displays. Around the arena there are food vendors and in the trade stand area there are a variety of traders selling their products and local charities raising awareness and money.
