NME Screens returns for another instalment next month with an exclusive preview of The Beatles’ classic 1970 documentary film Let It Be. Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and filmed in January 1969, Let It Be captures the band during intimate moments of collaboration, discussion and dispute, as well as detailing the writing process for some of the most famous songs ever written. It culminates with the iconic rooftop concert at the HQ of their company Apple Corps on Saville Row in London. Restored and remastered by acclaimed filmmaker Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post Production, Let It Be will finally be widely available again when it arrives on Disney+ on May 8, more than 50 years since its first release. NME Screens: Let It Be takes place at Everyman King’s Cross on May 8. Doors open at 7.30pm, and the film will start at 8pm. Please do not arrive earlier than 7.30pm. Let It Be will be released on Disney+ on May 8. Please note that a ticket does not guarantee entry. Entry will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. This is an 18+ event
