About

This event has been endorsed and organised through the University of Exeter Alumni Team, not the Students' Guild. It's Doctor Who Society's second guest screening of the year! We will be screening the legendary 9th Doctor story; 'Dalek', famous for reintroducing the eponymous villains into the modern show. Joining us for a Q&A afterwards will be Rob Shearman, the writer of the episode, and friend of the society Barnaby Edwards, who operated the Dalek on screen! Rob is a legend amongst Doctor Who fans, famous not only for writing 'Dalek' but also some of the most famous Big Finish audio dramas including 'The Holy Terror', 'The Chimes of Midnight', and 'Jubilee' which was loosely adapted into the episode. Beyond Doctor Who, he is also a writer of award winning short stories, and a prolific playwright. Barnaby is most known as one of the Dalek operators, appearing in almost every episode featuring them since 2005! He has also acted in, directed, written, and produced countless audio adventures with Big Finish, and contributed to the reference book; 'Impossible Worlds, Impossible Things'. Beyond the Tardis, Barnaby is an acomplished artist, and has painted, lectured and exhibited widely both within the UK and abroad. Both are also massive fan's of Doctor Who in their own right, we can't wait for them to join us and answer any questions you may have! https://tardis.wiki/wiki/Robert_Shearman https://tardis.wiki/wiki/Barnaby_Edwards
