Mpumi Dhlamini - Total eclipse: Hearing

TOTAL ECLIPSE - HEARING: The First Hearing introduces audiences to a newly composed body of work that forms part of Dhlamini's ambitious upcoming Total Eclipse album series. Rather than presenting completed recordings, the evening offers a rare opportunity to experience the music at the threshold between composition and recording. The concept is deliberately positioned as a first presentation - not a demonstration or a rehearsal, but a formal first encounter with works that are entering the recording process. The compositions have been newly created and will be presented live before their definitive studio recordings are made. At the centre of the experience is hearing: the first of a broader sensory language through which the Total Eclipse project will unfold. The audience is invited not simply to listen to finished music, but to experience the moment in which new musical ideas move from imagination and composition into live performance, and ultimately toward their definitive recordings.TOTAL ECLIPSE - HEARING: The First Hearing introduces audiences to a newly composed body of work that forms part of Dhlamini's ambitious upcoming Total Eclipse album series.
