The University of Leeds's Women in Leadership Society is delighted to invite you to our annual EMPOWER conference, celebrating International Women's Day. ABOUT THIS EVENT: This one-day event will feature a variety of inspirational speakers who will share their experiences of female empowerment. The conference aims to break down the invisible barriers that prevent equitable workplace distributions and show that anyone can be a leader by bringing together students, the community and speakers from all backgrounds to emphasise the importance of diversity in the workplace. In the past, the event has attracted over 300 attendees who participated in panel discussions, workshops and insight presentations. Leaders from sectors, including but not limited to business, finance, law and public services, came together to inspire students and others in their careers. The conference will be hosted across our PYRAMID theatre and FUNCTION room. We will provide teas, coffees, food, and snacks in our breaks throughout the day for those joining us in person. The theme of the conference is female empowerment, and this year, we will also be focusing on finding a healthy relationship between welfare and wellbeing in the workplace.
