LIBØ

Born and raised in Cape Town, LIBØ is a vocalist, singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music moves freely between jazz, neo-soul and wherever else a song wants to go. He doesn't fit neatly into one genre, and that's exactly the point. Currently studying jazz at the South African College of Music, LIBØ has performed at the Baxter Theatre, Artscape, Selective Live and Kaya Café, as well as on stages in Switzerland. He also played one of the lead roles, Damaka, in the District Six musical. After a memorable first show at Athletic Club & Social, LIBØ makes his return to the venue with his live band for an intimate night of music. Expect songs from his 2023 debut EP Sondela, including “Khangela Wena” and the title track, his latest single “Njena,” and a few surprises along the way.
