About

Late Night Punk Craic with... KIMBERLY STEAKS, NO MATTER & BAR TAPE THE GRAND SOCIAL FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH DOORS 10PM (LATE SHOW) GENERAL ADMISSION €8 + BOOKING FEE TICKETS AT DOORS €10 THE KIMBERLY STEAKS - Punk rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. They released their first full-length album To Live and Die in West Central Scotland in 2014. A short, fast, catchy punk album with lyrics about dead-end jobs, video games and football coupons, it saw them tour the UK and Europe, and was followed up by 2019’s Confessions of a Justified Cynic. 2023 saw The Kimberly Steaks release their third album, Big Noise. Written during lockdown and entirely recorded and produced by the band themselves, the album shows off the bands poppier tendencies, retaining their love for early-90s Lookout! Records-style punk rock, drawing comparisons to bands like Sicko, The Mr. T Experience and early Green Day. https://www.facebook.com/thekimberlysteaks https://thekimberlysteaks.bandcamp.com/album/big-noise NO MATTER - are a fast-paced, energetic pop punk band, mixing skate and melodic punk rock with catchy melodies and alternating main vocalists, hailing from various locations across Northern Ireland. They’ve gained a reputation for being extremely hardworking, having toured extensively across the UK, Ireland and Europe, with several multiple country tours under their belts and have begun reaching outside Europe, playing shows in Canada and America supporting numerous legendary punk acts along the way, at home and abroad. They have also made appearances at several acclaimed punk festivals, including two appearances at Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia (in ’16 and ’19), Pouzza Fest in Montreal in 2019 and 2023, and Manchester Punk Fest in the UK. They released two vinyl's in 2022, most recently a split purple/yellow merged 7" with The Kimberly Steaks in November on Brassneck Records from which Alyx Holcombe played No Matter's track "Ad Nauseam" on BBC Radio 1's Rock show. Prior to this they released their latest album "Bad Chemistry" in summer '22. https://www.facebook.com/nomatterband https://nomatter1.bandcamp.com/album/bad-chemistry BAR TAPE: Melodic-ish fast-a-lot-of-the-time skate-ish pub(?!) punk from Dublin.
