JazzSoc Gig Night: Archipelago, Open Jam & JazzSoc’s 1st Birthday

What better way could there be to celebrate JazzSoc’s first birthday, and our final event of term? Archipelago is a genre-defying and captivating trio which draws from a broad and deep pool of references, resulting in a dreamlike collision of otherworldly atmospheres. Archipelago is led by Faye MacCalman (saxophone, clarinet, vocals, composition) and completed by John Pope (bass) and Christian Alderson (drums). Expect an expansive variety within their set of entirely original music, capitalising on instruments and effects to provide a rich sonic quality, yet without any fear of reducing back down to a raw and improvisational trio form. Come down to Hidden Rooms for our spectacular final event of Michaelmas term.
