LSESU Italian Society is proud to present Marco Leonardi's latest book: "Partita Doppia": Italy's challenges between reforms and crises
Marco Leonardi is a former Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Italian Government Mario Draghi and Full Professor of Economics at the University of Milan, Italy. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics and spent visiting periods at MIT, Georgetown and Berkeley. His research interests are in labor economics, inequality and education.
Prof. Leonardi will engage in a discussion with:
- Federico Santi: Senior Analyst at Euroasia Group focusing on southern Europe, EU and Eurozone economic governance, and European energy issues. Mr. Santi worked as a policy officer at the European Commission and as a research assistant for a National Bureau of Economic Research project in Washington, DC. He also worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (now the US International Development Finance Corporation), the EU Delegation to the United States, and the US Senate.
- Dr. Angelo Martelli: Assistant Professor in European and International Political Economy European Institute. Programme Director for the LSE-Bocconi Double Degree in European and International Public Policy & Politics. He worked as a Consultant for the Jobs Group of the World Bank, as a Policy Fellow for the Open Innovation Team of the UK Cabinet Office and HM Treasury and as a Technical Expert for the IMF.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Marta Lorimer, LSE Fellow in European Politics. Prior to joining the European Institute, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Exeter. She has also held visiting positions at Forum MIDEM at TU Dresden and at the Centre d’Etudes Européennes in Sciences Po Paris.
