INDLU KA SAQHUMA

Xhanti Nokwali Live at Breezeblock, Johannesburg A concert celebrating the release of *Indlu ka Saqhuma Indlu ka Saqhuma is a new chapter in my writing, but it is also part of a much longer journey. The songs come from different moments in my life, shaped by the places I have lived, the stories I carry and the questions I continue to work through as a writer. Join me at Breezeblock for an evening of music drawn from my early independent Bandcamp releases, my debut album Umthombo, and the new EP Indlu ka Saqhuma. Sung in isiXhosa and rooted in lived experience, the music explores questions of lineage, language, land and belonging. I’ll be joined by a three-piece band featuring lead guitar, bass and percussion. Together, we’ll bring these songs into a live setting that makes space for the voice, the rhythm, the stories and the exchange that happens when we come together to listen.
