Hold It Down: Ryota

Born and based in Osaka, ryota has been a trendsetter in the city’s underground youth scene since the start of his DJ career. With a deep passion for drum and bass, ryota has developed a unique sound that blends UKG, bass music, and breakbeat, culminating in his successful international debut via Boiler Room Osaka. He is well known in Japan as one of the founding members of FULLHOUSE, a collective and event series established in 2019. Through its parties, FULLHOUSE has hosted international artists in Japan such as Sherelle, Yung Singh, salute, Sammy Virji, Partiboi 69, and Skin On Skin, becoming one of the country’s hottest underground event series and positioning ryota not only as a respected DJ, but also as a true tastemaker.
