Girls to the Front

Girls to the Front is an empowering event celebrating women in music! The event includes four incredible local acts: Nell Davies, The Other Woman, Martha Hayes and Shoes Off! The hosts' goal is to create a supportive community for female musicians filled with powerful and creative performances! Come and support local talent, enjoy the range of acts and listen to some amazing music. This event is a fundraiser for the graduate film 'Glitter Grunge', a comedy short film in collaboration with Falmouth University about four childhood best friends in a girl rock band. This event reflects the heart of the film, creating a real-life space that mirrors the story, highlighting women in bands, building a community and amplifying voices that are underrepresented. "We want to support female musicians while grounding our film in an authentic and empowering music scene!"
