About

FOOLIGAN PRESENTS: STRATFORD RISE Stratford Rise are set to take to the stage of Ulster Sports Club on the 15th of March. Stratford Rise are one of the most exciting guitar bands to come out of Ireland in recent years. Their influence from Gilla band and Black Midi can be heard in tracks such as World's Fair yet their own unique sound cuts through the listener's ear taking the audience on a sonic journey. Stratford Rise's eclectic sound of abrasive noise and melodic riffs are not to be missed. Makeshift Art Bar, another trailblazer in the Belfast noise scene, are supporting the Bangor quartet. Just off the tail of their Dublin debut Makeshift Art Bar aren't slowing down and they're not getting any quieter either. They are quickly becoming one of the greatest bands on the Irish live circuit, any chance to see this band live is a chance you need to take! Joining this noisy line up and making their Belfast debut are Galway native's Shark School. They're making the trip past the toll and into the North to tear the roof off of the Ulster Sports Club with their abstract garage tunes, taking influences from Pretty Happy, Girlfriend and Courtney Barnett. In a short time they've gained growing success sharing stages with the likes of New Dad, The Murder Capital and Pillow Queens not to mention stealing the show at Whelan's Ones to Watch 2024. It's gonna be a night of heavy tunes and some of the best new talent being produced on this Island.
