End Women's Homelessness: An Assembly

End Women's Homelessness: An Assembly

The Cynthia Beerbower Room, Newnham College, Cambridge

About

🌟Join Embrace and Gender Agenda for an afternoon dedicated to ending women's homelessness in Cambridge🌟 💫On International Women's Day (Sunday 8th March) from 2-5pm, Cambridge University Feminist societies, ARU societies, students, frontline charities (It Takes a City, Wintercomfort, and Cambridge Cyrenians), and individuals with lived experience will come together in Newnham's Cynthia Beerbower Room. Through a series of talks, creative contributions, and group activities, the event will explore the realities of women's homelessness and consider what meaningful, practical steps out community can take to provide safer, more stable housing pathways. ✨We will also highlight and promote key initiatives in the city working towards this goal - this will be a space for coordinated action, knowledge-sharing, and collective problem-solving! ⭐Each ticket purchase will also automatically be entered into our raffle with Jack's Gelato, as well as access to our fundraising bake sale. All ticket and fundraising proceeds will go towards The Haven, It Takes A City's overnight drop-in shelter, enabling them to extend support for residents into the daytime.
